Dior made more than a small statement with its Spring 2011 accessories collection, and if you’re itching to get your hands on a piece of the brand’s younger, lighter bag aesthetic, Bergdorf Goodman would like to let you start that process now.
TheDior Cannage Bagit was first introduced as a Resort 2011 piece, but Bergdorf pre-orders are expected to arrive in April, suggesting it will also be part of the non-runway Spring 2011 collection. (Or maybe instead? Has anyone seen orders for this bag arrive earlier?)
Whichever collection this bag may technically reside in, it doesn’t really make a difference to its portability or functionality, both of which this bag has in spades. But it also has something else that Dior has lacked in recent seasons: simplicity, flexibility, and the ability to be worn as an everyday bag by women spanning a wide range of ages and life experiences. Perhaps only Dior’s Granville tote has achieved similar achievements in those areas in the recent past, and that bag became so popular with celebrities that I got tired of writing about it on BagThatStyle. We hope Dior has the same success with this bag. Buy it through Bergdorf Goodman for $2,600.
