Introducing Louis Vuitton x Grace Coddington for Cruise 2019

As far as collabs go, this one’s gone cats and dogs (but not in a bad way, in a good way!) No seriously, if you love cats and dogs and Louis Vuitton, this collab it may be just what you are looking for. searching. Also, if you know Grace Coddington, former General Creative Director of American Vogue magazine and creator of some of the most dramatic and impactful photo shoots, you’ll love this collaboration. The fact is, if you know fashion, you know Grace Coddington.

Coddington recently hosted a new series in which she interviews celebrities, aptly namedFace to Grace. In this six-part series, she interviews Nicolas Ghesquière and it should come as no great surprise but a delight to see that for Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2019 collection, the pair collaborated on a collection,Louis Vuitton x Grace Coddington, showing Grace’s Persian cats Pumpkin and Blanket, alongside Nicolas’s dog Leon.

The animals that adorn each item in this capsule collection were drawn by Grace and are an ode to Grace’s iconic style, right down to her red hair, which is represented by orange monograms. Louis Vuitton has aptly named this new chapter in its history of collaborations: the Catogram.

Products include handbags, small leather goods, shoes and RTW with special touches by Grace Coddington. I really like this collaboration and I’m not a cat person. I’m allergic, so naturally cats put me off because they give me asthma. But these items are whimsical and fun, and you could easily see them becoming conversation pieces and collectors’ items.

The unique and great thing about Louis Vuitton is that they continue to offer new collections and collaborations to delight their fans. Not every collection is on the Louis Vuitton lover’s wish list, but there is usually a collection that speaks to your soul and Louis Vuitton trusts that.

To celebrate this collaboration, Louis Vuitton has a pop-up store open until November 12, offering the entire collection along with exclusive New York merchandise. Visit the pop-up at 3 Ninth Avenue, NYC 10014 or shop the collection online here.
