Prada Flame Wedge sandals look good and taste good

Without a doubt, Prada has designed my favorite line for spring. The brand’s retro designs infuse Cadillac car accents and flames reminiscent of the movieGrease. Prada shoes have captivated me and I can’t stop thinking about the entire collection. In fact, if someone threw $20,000 at me just for fun, I could spend it all in one place, and that place is Prada.

I have refrained from posting about this collection from a purely selfish point of view, I pretty much hoarded every Prada item in my browser’s saved tabs so I can look at them every day and figure out how to buy them all. The shoes may very well be the best part of the offerings and this is due in no small part to their flame and taillight detailing. No, seriously, you read that right: flames and taillights. While it sounds completely kitsch, Prada has pulled it off so amazingly that I feel like I’m jumping for joy at fashion.

ThePrada Flame wedge sandalsIt may not be my favorite shoe from the line, but when I was perusing Eleni’s cookie shop in Chelsea Market this week I realized I’m not the only person who has a full-blown love affair with Prada.

Doesn’t this cookie look amazing? Clearly modeled after a pair of Prada Spring ’12 shoes, the cookie looked just like its actual shoe counterpart and tasted amazing too. The wedge sandal is made up of a flame cut detail of black, red and white patent leather. The heel is 4.5″ which is completely wearable and can still give you the high heeled look. I look forward to seeing these shoes worn by fashionistas everywhere. And if you can’t use it, eat it (buy Eleni’s cookies). Shop the Prada Flame Wedge Sandals for $1,100 through Neiman Marcus.
